Situated in the central part of the country, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province is a great tourist destination. There are dozens of things to see and to do in the region. There are numerous tourist attractions (including the long coastal line), festivals and activities offered by the province. The Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park

The beautiful Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is actually a marine park situated in the Sam Roi Yot district. Covering about 98 km², the marine park is very popular among visitors. It is home to the famous Phraya Nakhon cave which houses the Kuha Karuhas Pavilion. The park is dominated by limestone hills, mangrove forests and freshwater marshes. Some of the marshes were turned into shrimp farms.

Ao Manao

The most popular beach of the province, Ao Manao is just perfect for swimming. It is very attractive for visitors. For the lovers of sun and sea it is the perfect destination. The sand is white and soft and the waters are warm. The beach has an important history. It used to be a battlefield in the World War II.

Other attractions

Besides the previously mentioned attractions, there are also other sights in the province. The beautiful Hat Wanakon National Park, the Pran Buri Forest Park, mountains like the Khao Chong Krachok, waterfalls like the Namtok Huai Yang, islands like the Ko Sang or Ko Thalu. These are also very popular among visitors. As you can see, there are numerous types of attractions in the province which make it a great tourist destination.


There are several events held in the province. Some of these are the following: the famous Hua Hin Jazz Festival, the A Fair and the Khao Chong Krachok Tak Bat Devo Ceremony. The most significant and most popular one is the Hua Hin Jazz Festival. First of all, you have to know that Hua Hin district is part of the province. This fantastic event attracts a large number of visitors. It is held every June near the seaside in Hua Hin. Local and international jazz musicians are welcome at the same time.

Are you a fan of water sports? Do you want to dive, to trek or to cruise along the coastline? You can do all these at Prachuap Khiri Khan! As there are numerous natural jewels in the area, trekking is very popular among visitors. Diving might not be as great as in other parts of Thailand, but there are some fine spots here, too, including Bangsapan, Ko Thalu, Ko Sang and so on.
