Thailand is nicknamed “the land of smiles”. It is not surprising if we think of the extremely friendly local people who welcome every visitor with great pleasure and smile. There are dozens of things to see and to do in this extraordinary country, including its wonderful cities, Buddhist temples, sunny beaches and islands, fantastic national parks, ruined ancient cities, the possibility of tasting the local specialties, watching Thai boxing, enjoying the parties in different venues and so on. As I already mentioned it, this fascinating country is known as “the land of smiles” due to the friendly local people. Thailand is considered the cheapest exotic tourist destination. It is the most visited country in South-East Asia. So, if you are looking for a fantastic, but budget destination, the best choice is Thailand.

Bangkok, its capital city is a buzzing city which attracts dozens of visitors with its fascinating attractions. They say that you can do anything in this amazing city. Besides the capital city, the country is home to several astonishing tourist attractions of which many were inscribed on the list of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Thailand is also home to several of the world’s top 20 beaches, including the Diamond Beach, Ko Phi Phi and Ko Samet.

There are hundreds of outstanding visitor attractions in the country, ranging from natural to cultural sights.

The most popular tourist attractions in Thailand are the following: the cities of Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nonthaburi, Pattaya, Surat Thani; the islands of Phuket, Ko Phi Phi, Ko Samet; its gorgeous beaches and dive sites; wonderful Buddhist temples, national parks, historical parks (including Ayutthaya and Sukhothai), museums and other sights.

Not to miss activities

Thailand has some fantastic and unique activities and attractions to offer its visitors. If you would like to have part of an unforgettable travel experience, I suggest you to choose this country.

Some of the activities which can not be missed are the following: visit Bangkok and its wonderful Buddhist temple named Wat Phra Kaew; watch a Thai boxing show; taste one of the local foods, for example the well-known Tom Yan soup which is one of the most special Thai dishes; visit a ladyboy bar (Thailand is famous for the beautiful boys-girls); enjoy the nightlife on the Khao San Road which is one of the top locations for party-lovers.
