Phuket is an extremely popular holiday destination of Thailand. The biggest island belonging to the country offers spectacular natural sights, gorgeous and world famous beaches, astonishing visitor attractions and endless entertainment possibilities. As Phuket is a very developed area in terms of tourism, it is obvious that the island includes numerous entertainment scenes, including cabarets, theme parks, cinemas and others. Phuket FantaSea

As one of the top entertainment scenes of the island, Phuket FantaSea theme park attracts innumerable visitors every year. It is considered the biggest show on the island which presents hundreds of trapeze artists, dancers, elephants and other performing animals. It is also famous for housing Asia’s biggest buffets. Its highlight is a theatre show starting at 20:30. The theme park is open every day except Thursdays, from 17:00 to 23:30. (June 2013)

Cabaret shows

The island of Phuket is also famous for its excellent cabaret shows. With beautiful and really feminine ladyboys, Phuket cabarets are extremely attractive for tourists. Some of the major cabarets on the island are the Simon Cabaret, the Aphrodite Cabaret and the Palazzo Theatre. Perhaps the most popular of them is Simon Cabaret which presents fantastic colorful shows.

Thai boxing

Are you interested in a Thai boxing? You can watch numerous such “shows” on the island of Phuket, too. Thai boxing is among the most popular sports in Thailand. There are numerous spectators in Thai boxing stadiums. Choose Patong Boxing Stadium or Tiger Muay Thai Camp where you can even practice this unique sport. You won’t regret it.

The Paradise Complex

One of the highlights of the island is The Paradise Complex. It is a popular scene for gay visitors. It includes numerous bars. Besides, there is a great guesthouse here, the Aquarius Guesthouse (including a unique gay sauna) which is very popular among gay visitors. The bars stay open all day. The gay sauna opens at 15:30 and closes at 22:00. (June 2013)


Do you love cinemas? Phuket is abundant in such entertainment scenes. The Coliseum Paradise multiplex cinema in Phuket city is perhaps the best one. The prices usually range from 100 to 200 baht per person. There are also VIP rooms with reclining chairs. The price of a ticket for a VIP seat is about 500 baht. (June 2013)
