Phu Phra Bat Buabok Forest Park

One of the most beautiful and most popular forest parks in Thailand is the astonishing Phu Phra Bat Buabok Forest Park. It can be found in Udon Thani Province and it is famous for its two Buddha footprints which were actually carved into rocks. The footprints are found in the historical park which wears the name of the forest park.

The hill which houses the forest park actually includes three types of forests: mixed deciduous forest, dry dipterocarp forest and dry evergreen forest.

Phu Chi Fa Forest Park

Another famous and astonishing forest park in Thailand is the Phu Chi Fa Forest Park. It has a picturesque setting, on the Phu Chee Fah Mountain. The park offers stunning views over the surrounding area. Located in the northern part of Thailand, the park attracts numerous visitors, being one of the top tourist attractions of the region.

Phae Muang Phi

The forest park named Phae Muang Phi is situated in Phrae Province. The park got its name after local ghosts. It is popular due to the rock formations which can be found here, including mushrooms and distinctive pillars. The forest park is unique, for there is actually no forest here, except a few trees. It is attractive for its rock formations resulted by erosive action.

Phu Langka Forest Park

The beautiful Phu Langka Forest Park is located in the northern part of the country, in the province of Phayao. The major highlights of the protected area are its wonderful plants and flowers, including the vast fields of Melastoma malabathricum. The “sea of fog” in the valleys is also very attractive for visitors.

Pranburi Forest Park

Last, but not least attractive is the Pranburi Forest Park. Located in the Gulf of Thailand, it is different from the previously mentioned parks, as it protects a beautiful mangrove forest. The park is an important attraction of the Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
